Cell Phone Data Charges
Check your cell phone bills and see if the amount has gone up on your data charges. Ours had gone up a little over the last few months. Then this month it was $30+. My husband called up to see what was going on. He found out that the reason there was an increase over the last few months in our cellphone bill (ATT) was of because of company text message ads to our cell phones, even if you delete them without opening them you get charged for all the data they'd sent!!! We now have an ad block on all our cellphones and they refunded that overage charge.Labels: Cell Phone Data Charges

How Fast is Your Reaction Time?
The automobile driving manual says the average driver's reaction time is .75 seconds or 1 car length for every 10 mph. Test your average reaction time. Be careful, this can be addictive! You will be surprised at how slow you really are.

Keeping Berries from Getting Moldy
"When you get your berries home, prepare a mixture of one part vinegar (white or apple cider probably work best) and ten parts water. Dump the berries into the mixture and swirl around. Drain, rinse if you want (though the mixture is so diluted I find you can't taste the vinegar,) and pop in the fridge. (I would add I would think you'd want to dry them off before refrigerating.)The vinegar kills any mold spores and other bacteria that might be on the surface of the fruit."

I Am That Child

Yesterday I took a trip into the city with my brother, John to a book signing for Elizabeth Geitz's latest book, I Am That Child, chronicling her odyssey with two other women of faith to the Good Shepherd Home Orphanage in Cameroon, West Africa.
To buy or read more about the book:

To donate to the Good Shepherd Home for Children: http://www.goodshepherdhome.org/donate/
To read an excerpt from the book on her Blog:

It was so nice see Elizabeth again and meet the sweet Sister Jane. I brought her some "Little Dresses for Africa" & "Britches" to take back home with her.
