Pictures to go with Barbara's eMo . . . .

HP reader,Jennifer Read, sends along the following:
My mother used to like to quote Peg Bracken,
"Life's too short to stuff a mushroom."
Then I went to work for a caterer and added a codicil,
"Unless you're being paid by the hour."

A Christmas Prayer

"Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus,
that we may share in the song of angels,
the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men.
Close the door of hate and open the door of love all over the world.
Let kindness come with every gift and good desires with every greeting.

Deliver us from evil by the blessing which Christ brings,
and teach us to be merry with clean hearts.
May the Christmas morning make us happy to be Thy children,
and the Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts,
forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus' sake, Amen!"

Brian's Bread

My son Brian made up this recipe, although I'm sure there could already be one out there like it.
It bakes up very high in the the breadmaker within about 1/2 inch from the top!!
(Note: A recent loaf did touch the top of the breadmaker!)
