Appliance Repairs
Our washing maching is on the fritz. It got to the part where it's supposed to pump out the water and the spin for the rinse cycle. It did neither so the clothes are now getting a good soak since late Wednesday night. There is a website you can go to for help.
It's:

I bookmarked and told Paul . . .
Update on the washer repair -
Our washer is a Fisher & Paykal which is made in Australia. I found the U.S. number in California and gave them a call. The woman that answered must have been from Australia I think judging by her slight accent. I told her the problem and she said the pump just needed to be disconnected as there was something probably caught in it. Paul got the washer moved out and just before he started anything he called back since there were some wires that also had to be disconnected he wanted to double check with them. He's so funny. He said the guy that answered sounded like the Geico gecko. The man said he (I guess legally) couldn't tell him what to do so Paul said if I do such and such would that be right and he said he was headed in the right direction. Well, it turned out a Shout Color Catcher was wadded-up and stuck in there and removing it solved the problem!
I called back to tell the lady that the problem was solved and to thank them. I added that my husband said that the man he spoke to sounded like the Geico gekco and she laughed so hard. "Oh, he had to have spoken to the guy in Australia. I'm going to email him and tell him." We were both still laughing as we hung up.

The same thing happened to my sister. I felt guilty since I'd turned her on to Shout color catchers (a wonderful invention except for the water pump issue!) She is now pinning the color catchers to the tag of a garment so it can't escape into the water pump again. Good idea!
