Sicilian Beef

3 Tablespoons oil
2 pounds beef round cubes*
1 medium onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
Saute' the meat until it is brown and then sprinkle with
3 Tablespoons flour
Add:
1 can beef broth or consume
1/2 cup sherry
1 small jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
1 small can of mushrooms, stems and pieces, undrained
2 carrots finely diced
3 Tablespoons chopped parsley
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot cook all ingredients. Cover and simmer for 2 1/2 hours or until meat is tender. Serve over long curly fusilli.
The "Surprise" Rolls from the 11/9/05 post would go great with this.
*(I like to use sirloin steak cubed.)

This is a nice fall/winter dish.
