Children’s Service Project

"Is your School class, Sunday School Class, or Vacation Bible School looking for a service project? Consider making Christmas cards for seafarers and America’s river mariners that would be distributed by chaplains and volunteers of the Seamen’s Church Institute of New York & New Jersey. The handmade cards would be given to seafarers arriving in the Port of New York & New Jersey and America’s river mariners along 2,200 miles of inland waterways from Pittsburgh to New Orleans and the Gulf Coast."
They collect cards year-round, but they start packing for Christmas in October.
(They also want Easter cards.)

Instructions are available at: http://www.seamenschurch.org/card.htm
