Two "New" Pairs of Jeans for Under $4!

Two pairs of old jeans that were faded out that I renewed by dying! I lined a five gallon bucket with a garbage bag, put in 1 cup of salt, 1 bottle of black Rit dye, filled about 2/3 to 3/4 full of hottest tap water. Stir well. Put in 1 faded wet blue jeans & 1 faded pair of black jeans. Stirred them in there for awhile and then we left to see the fireworks so they were in longer than the recommended 25-30 minutes. When we came home I dumped off the dye water ran some cold water over them and then threw them in the washer with detergent with cold tap water and an extra rinse cycle. Afterwards I did a full bleach wash to clean out the washer while they were in the dryer. I love that the faded blue jeans came out a blue-black.
